first_imgSnarky Puppy has released the final video for Family Dinner Vol. 2, featuring KNOWER & Jeff Coffin. The track, entitled “I Remember,” is yet another hugely diverse sound coming from the two-time Grammy-winners. The entire album, which features different guest musicians on each individual track, puts Snarky Puppy in the spotlight for their original, atypical approach to modern day record-making. Even David Crosby made his way to the sessions, to record the soulful “Somebody’s Home.” Watch that here.This final track brings a spunky, jazz-infused, retro-funk vibe to the eclectic sound that is Snarky Puppy, welcoming the stunning sounds of KNOWER and some great solo work from Dave Matthews Band/Flecktones saxophonist Jeff Coffin. The song was originally created by KNOWER, an electronic music duo who continue to impress with bold creations.While each song makes a different statement on the album, this is definitely one of the more high energy numbers on the album. Vincent J. Springmeyer, 84

first_imgVincent J. Springmeyer, 84, Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg. He was born on July 7, 1934 in Greensburg, Indiana, the son of Christopher and Irene (Bedinghaus) Springmeyer.  Vince served in the Army after graduation from Greensburg High School in 1952. He married Bonnie Collins on May 17, 1958 and she preceded him in death on November 12, 2001. He worked for 43 years at Bohn Aluminum, retiring in 1997.  He also was a farmer and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He is survived by two sons, Joe Springmeyer (Fiancé Kimberly Moore) Greensburg, David (Renae) Springmeyer, Greensburg; one daughter, Janet (Scott) Freeman, Lake Santee; one sister, Juanita Scheidler; two brothers, Wayne (Dottie) Springmeyer and John Springmeyer; seven grandchildren, Meghann Schoettmer, Morgan, Chase, and Collin Springmeyer, Sam Jacob, and Sarah Springmeyer; three great grandchildren, Belle Schoettmer, Scarlette, Schoettmer, Coy Conklin.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; sister, Joanne Clark; brothers, Dale, Leroy, Cliff (Gene), and Don Springmeyer. Family and friends will gather at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home for a rosary service.  Visitation will follow until 7:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.   A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg on Saturday, January 26th at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg. Memorials may be made to the Our Hospice of Decatur County or to the American Cancer Society.
