Stockard Channing Returns to Broadway’s It’s Only a Play

first_img Show Closed This production ended its run on June 7, 2015 Related Shows It’s Only a Play View Comments She’s back! has confirmed that Tony winner Stockard Channing has returned to the star-studded comedy It’s Only a Play. As previously reported, she had been out of the show on doctor’s orders, recuperating from a recent knee injury. Directed by Jack O’Brien, the Broadway production is currently in preview at the Schoenfeld Theatre and will officially open on October 9. The show, penned by Terrence McNally, also stars Tony winners Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham, Emmy winner Megan Mullally, Harry Potter alum Rupert Grint and newcomer Micah Stock. Channing took home a Tony for Joe Egg and has been nominated for her performances in Other Desert Cities, Pal Joey, The Lion in Winter, Four Baboons Adoring the Sun, Six Degrees of Separation and The House of Blue Leaves.last_img
