(Twitter)Temperatures climbed into the 90’s once again on September 4, and the forecast calls for temperatures to remain in the 90’s for the rest of the first week of the 2018-2019 school year. The 10 public schools in Baltimore County that closed for lack of air conditioning today are: Bedford Elementary, Berkshire Elementary, Colgate Elementary, Dundalk Elementary, Campfield Early Learning Center, Catonsville Center of Alternative Studies, Dulaney High School, Lansdowne High School, Patapsco Center for the Arts High School and Woodlawn High School.During the winter several BCPS schools were forced to close because of lack of heat; photos of children huddled in classrooms wearing coats and gloves during the winter months went viral. Teacher beats up 5yrold in Joka school

Body of policeman found hanging at hospital

first_imgKolkata: Mystery shrouds the death of a policeman whose body was found hanging from the ceiling of a washroom at a private hospital in Durgapur.The victim has been identified as Nirmal Kumar Das (24), who was posted at Bidhannagar. Das, who was originally a resident of Chopra in North Dinajpur, was admitted to hospital on Monday after he was suffering from fever. Some patients who were undergoing treatment at the same hospital on early Wednesday morning found the victim hanging with a piece of cloth from the ceiling of a washroom. After being informed the police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it for an autopsy at Durgapur Sub-divisional hospital. Police have collected the piece of cloth for the sake of investigation. According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect the victim might have committed suicide. The reason behind his committing suicide is yet to be confirmed by the investigating officers. Recap Two lanes closed due to accident on M6 motorway in Cheshire

first_imgTwo lanes are closed on the M6 motorway in Cheshire due to an accident this evening (Tuesday May 14). The lanes are shut on the southbound carriageway due a collision between junction 19 and junction 18. North West Motorway Police first reported the accident at around 8.20pm. A Highways England spokesman said:  “M6 southbound J19 towards J18 (Tabley A556 Northwich Holmes Chapel Chester Middlewich) “Traffic Officers have been deployed to a collision involving a vehicle which is now facing the wrong way in the outside lane. Lanes 4 & 3 have been closed.” It is unclear if any other vehicles are involved at this stage. Traffic England currently reports normal traffic conditions are expected to be restored between 9.15pm and 9.30pm tonight. Elsewhere on the motorway in the area, the northbound exit slip road at junction 19 is shut due to a vehicle fire.
