Prosecutor Murder suspect bound stabbed Davie mother

first_img“There’s no explanation for the defendant’s DNA to be inside the home that he does not live in and has no ties to, and the victim’s DNA mixed with that in what was used to bind her, and where she ended up where she was found,” said Rossman.Resiles’ family appeared in court Friday but quickly left without speaking to reporters.Copyright 2019 Sunbeam Television Corp. (WSVN) — Disturbing new details about the murder of a South Florida mother emerged Friday as the man who, police said, committed the crime faced a judge.Twenty-year-old Dayont’e Resiles stood before Broward Circuit Judge John Hurley Friday morning. “The court has found proof of evidence … regarding the murder of Mrs. Jill Su,” said Hurley. “You’ll be held without bond until further order of the court on that.”Murder victim Jill SuResiles is being charged in the murder of 59-year-old Davie resident Jill Su, a wife and mother of two, inside her home, Monday, Sept. 8. Head down and hands cuffed, he was booked into the Broward County Jail on Thursday. At the bond hearing, state prosecutor Gregg Rossman told Hurley Su was bound with a belt and stabbed. “They also found a knife, and they also found something that was used to bind the victim, the belt loop that’s referred to, and on that belt loop, the defendant’s DNA mixed with the victim’s DNA,” said Rossman.Police believe Su was home when Resiles hand-selected her home to burglarize. Investigators said Resiles smashed a back glass door to break into the residence, located at 10327 S.W. 22nd Place in Davie, robbing the house and killing Su. “We don’t know. We don’t know why he picked that house,” said Davie Police Capt. Dale Engle.Police said Resiles is a career criminal with multiple charges of burglary. At the time of Su’s murder, investigators said, Resiles was out on bond on at least four other burglaries. He was arrested last January in Boca Raton after breaking into a home. Authorities found stolen items inside his car. Resiles was also arrested after an April break-in in Miramar.Jill Su’s body was found in a bathtub several hours after the incident by her 20-year-old son, who ran outside to the pool cleaner for help. “It was the most craziest thing I’ve seen,” said Ryan Madriz, the cleaner. “I see the kid open the door, and he’s crying, screaming hysterically, and he’s telling us, ‘Don’t leave, you can’t leave,’ so I ask him, ‘What’s wrong? What’s going on?’ and he said, ‘Somebody broke into my house and killed my mom.’” last_img read more
